Blue Horse Mukwa Equine Retirement & Rescue Center is a certified 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded in 1999 and located in Chase City, Virginia.
We are 100% volunteer-run and we operate solely on donations. We are dedicated to providing a permanent home and sanctuary to over 40 horses (and other animals) that have been abused, abandoned and neglected. We DO NOT sell or adopt out our horses. Our mission is grand: With every flake of hay, every scoop of grain, and every drink of water, we can heal the world - one horse at a time!

The Blue Horse Mukwa Tack and Gift Shop will soon be up and running here on our website! Our shop is located on our farm in Chase, Virginia, and is open 7-days a week.
We sell new and donated items for both horse and rider, including English and Western saddles and bridles, halters, lead lines, and horse care items.
We also sell American Indian gift items like pottery, throws, prints and jewelry, and other gift items, including Waterford Crystal, books, music, art and more.
